This Humvee, powered by a Dodge Hellcat Hemi V8, caught the eye of Richard Rawlings and his Gas Monkey Garage. They bought the Humvee and later sold it for a cool $750,000 at Barrett-Jackson. The success of the Humvee was supposed to pave the way for a new partnership, with Gas Monkey Garage funding Danton's next ambitious project: the six-wheeled Ferrari Testarossa.

But here's where the plot thickens. After months of silence, the project resurfaced, accompanied by an Instagram post that ignited a firestorm of controversy. Alex Danton, the man behind the original design, accused Rawlings and Gas Monkey Garage of underpaying him and taking credit for his work. He didn't mince words, calling them "liars and thieves." He claimed to have received only 10% of his payment and was forced to sign contracts to stay silent.

Rawlings, however, tells a different story. He insists that the Ferrari required extensive rework, with fabrication, paint, and fitment falling short of expectations. The team had to revisit almost every aspect of the build, leading to significant delays.

And this is the part most people miss... Despite the team's efforts, the car is still not finished. Rawlings admits it's only "sort of okay" in its current state, and a "S@#t ton of work" is still needed to get it where they want it to be. Danton's response to the current status of the car? "Destroy."
