In addition, Frida Perez, a writer and producer for the Emmy-winning Apple TV series The Studio, joins forces with Min Ji (Maggie) Kang, the writer and director behind Netflix's hit series KPop Demon Hunters. And here's where it gets especially intriguing: Infiniti is not only recognized for her role in the Apple TV drama Presumed Innocent, starring Jake Gyllenhaal, but also for her Oscar-worthy performance alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in Paul Thomas Anderson’s latest film—highlighting a rare dual achievement in both film and television.
The BAFTA Breakthrough initiative is tailored for creatives at the threshold of their breakout moment. Participants benefit from a full year of mentorship, one-on-one career guidance, full BAFTA voting membership, exclusive access to events and screenings, and international networking opportunities. Just last week, the U.K.'s 2025 Breakthrough cohort, featuring talents like Akinola Davies Jr. and Laura Carreira, was announced, showing the program's global reach.
Selection for this year’s U.S. cohort was carried out by a distinguished jury spanning film, television, and gaming industries. Jury members included Channing Godfrey Peoples, Davina Pardo, Jessica Hernandez, Kate Edwards, Nyasha Hatendi, Paul Rogers, Sam Enoch, Simone Ling, and in the gaming sector, Andrew Prahlow, Arjun Yadav, Carmen Askerneese, Del Walker, Dmitri Johnson, Julia Bianco Schoeffling, and Tara Voelker.
